Beekeeping Intermediate/Advanced Class
Registration is now open for the Summer 2025 intermediate class at Surry Community College, designed specifically for beekeepers eager to enhance their skills and knowledge. This engaging course will cover essential topics such as effective feeding techniques, methods for splitting hives, the art of requeening, and best practices for honey production. Additionally, participants will gain insights into pest control strategies to protect their hives and ensure a thriving bee population. Field Day
Due to the increasing likelihood of rain on Saturday, March 15, 2025, the field day event has been rescheduled. Participants can now plan to join us on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 3 PM. The location will be H&S Bee Supply, where we look forward to a successful gathering. This change aims to ensure a better experience for all attendees, as we will have the opportunity to enjoy the activities without the disruption of inclement weather. Please mark your calendars and spread the word to fellow bee enthusiasts. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing everyone there for a day filled with learning and camaraderie in a more favorable environment.
